Far Mesa is about ten miles off Highway 12, between Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef. The map is not to scale, but the drive times are honest.

The last nine miles are graded dirt, fine for any car in dry weather. After a storm we pick you up at the paved road.

Anything else, call the front desk. A real person answers from 8 am to 6 pm, Mountain Time.

Is there cell service or Wi-Fi?

There is no cell service at camp. Wi-Fi works in the dining house, slowly, and most guests end up glad about it.

How cold does it get at night?

Spring and fall nights drop into the thirties. Every tent has a wood stove, a heated mattress pad and more blankets than you will use.

Can we bring our dog?

We love dogs, but the mesa is home to a lot of wildlife, so only service animals can stay.

Are kids welcome?

Yes, in the Family Camp. The other tents are for guests 12 and older.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel up to 30 days before arrival for a full refund of your deposit. Inside 30 days we refund it if we can rebook your tent.

Do we need four wheel drive?

No. The last nine miles are graded dirt and fine for any car when it is dry. After a storm we meet you at the paved road.
