Vegetable-tanned leather over a steel rail, held by eight rivets. Firm in the first week, yours by the first month.
Swept bars sit you upright, so you watch the street and not your front wheel. The bell is brass, and it is loud.
A single speed behind a full chain guard. Nothing to tune on a Monday morning, nothing to catch your trousers.
Laced and trued by hand, on cream tyres wide enough for a bad road and a tram track.
Made to be repaired
We sell each one on its own, with its drawing and the torque it needs. A Heyday is never finished, only looked after.
Colours
Powder coated in our own booth, twelve frames at a time.

Riders' notes
I sold the car in March. I have not missed it once.
My grandfather had one just like it. Mine brakes better.
It is the only thing I own that gets compliments from strangers.
Eleven miles a day, in a dress, and I arrive dry.
They changed a pedal in ten minutes and charged me for the pedal.
I ride slower now. I arrive happier.
My daughter has already asked for it in my will.
Four winters outside a coffee shop and the paint still shines.

Heyday Care
Bring it to the workshop or send us a photo. We will tell you what it needs, and what it does not.
Book a free test rideThe workshop
Every Heyday is brazed, painted, laced and assembled under one roof on Walnut Street. The person who builds your frame signs it inside the bottom bracket, where only the next mechanic will find it.

Test rides
Forty minutes, any bicycle in the collection, on the streets you ride every day. We bring it to you in Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins.
